Antique Western Oushak Carpet

This subdued western Turkish carpet has an ivory and light beige field and cartouche medallion decorated with small octogram tile stars and spindly plants. Broadly drawn, angular large bottehs feature in the main border. The pile is very low, is repaired and there are particularly worn areas.    .
