Rare Well Woven Colorful Caucasian Shirvan Rug

This relatively rare well-woven Eastern Caucasian carpet (as opposed to scatters) shows a saturated brick red field with three connected square octogramme panels in blue, cream, red and beige. The field shows large botehs toward one end, and small animals, octagons and tiny flowers at the other. Ecru polychrome 'wedgie shoe' main border. Good condition.   .
