Vintage Mahal Carpet

A classic small pattern Persian allover Herati pattern fills the medium bark brown field of this west Iranian village carpet. The caramel tone main border shows simple reversing turtle palmettes alternating with rosettes and colorful lancet leaves. The field is accented in beige, straw, black and light brown.
